Grace Street Fellowship

Maundy Thursday Youth Service

200 youth gather at Grace Street for Maundy Thursday services in 2019. Sweet times.

Grace Street invites all Junior High and High School students to an Easter event designed just for them – on Maundy Thursday, April 1st, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. “Maundy” comes from a Latin word which means “mandated,” growing out of Jesus’ conversation with his disciples at the “Last Supper.” Except for last year, this service has been an ongoing tradition of our church and the Mission for many years.

Read Jesus’ words from the “Last Supper” in the thirteenth chapter of John: 34A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Our youth will join with others their age who attend Mission Arlington® Bible studies. The students will worship together, hear a timely & relevant message designed just for them, and take the Lord’s Supper together.  After the service, our students will join Steven in the youth house for  pizza , sharing, prayer, & fellowship. The evening will end around 8:30 p.m.

We are requesting that  Grace Street students arrive at the church by 6:00 p.m. that evening.  We are honored that our students have been asked to lead & serve the Lord’s Supper at this event.  Our students need to arrive early, so that they can prepare and practice for their part in the evening.  Please contact Steven Burgin for more details, or if you have any questions about the event.

The Grace Street family is so grateful for the privilege we have of investing in our students.  We are thankful too, for the wonderful young people who form part of the fellowship at Grace. Bring your friends, everyone. Let’s make this a special night of worship and fun.
