A Church on the Move

A gentle breeze blows through Grace Street Fellowship every week. Won’t you come and see?

A Church on the Move

God is on the move at Grace Street in beautiful ways. If you know how to look, you can see his handiwork all across our congregation.  How fulfilling it is to be part of a congregation that isn’t focused on itself, but on God’s mission in our world. Because God is alive in our midst, people are being changed, and our people are on the move.

Every day this Week

Here is a brief overview of our week to date. We gathered to study God’s word and worshiped together Sunday morning. Monday night, our ladies met for Bible study. Tuesday night, our Grief Share team provided support to people suffering from recent personal losses. Wednesday evening we gathered again to study God’s Word, and tonight our Celebrate Recovery team meets to support people struggling with “hurts, habits, and/or hangups.”

This Weekend
  • Parent’s Night Off – This weekend, our children’s ministry hosts it fan-favorite “Parent’s Night Off.”  For three hours on Friday night, parent’s are encouraged to take a night for themselves – to go on a date, to catch up, to rest, or whatever works best while their children are cared for by the church.  Our Ladies of Grace will be on hand this Friday night to provide special ministry to the boys and girls. (We won’t spoil the surprise here);
  • Disciple Now – 20 students will be spending the weekend at our church in a three day, two-night event called Disciple Now.  The students will discover how a relationship with God can affect their past, present, and future.  Please pray this weekend for these young people, and for our youth ministry team.
  • Apartment Ministry Outreach Event –  This Saturday, our Willow Tree apartment Ministry team will be hosting a cookout at the apartments to meet more people from the apartments and to love them in Jesus name.  The cookout part looks to be pretty good too. Please pray for them.
  • Sanctuary Choir – This Sunday, our sanctuary choir will be leading our congregation in worship again, along with our praise team.  The pastor will continue his sermon series titled “It’s Not Complicated,” messages from the center of our faith.  Our food and clothes pantry will also be open for our church people and for the community too.

In addition to all of these official events, our church members are active in outreach, prayer ministry, hospital visitation, and so much more, as we attempt to care for people in Jesus’ name.  I am so grateful to God for the privilege of being the pastor of this beautiful family of faith.  The Wind of God’s Spirit is blowing through our place.

Won’t you come and feel the breeze?
