Because You're Worth It . . . .
Grace Street Men cordially invite all Grace Street Ladies to a special evening of dinner and entertainment on Friday, February 8th at 7:00 pm in the Lockwood Center.
Simply elegant
We can't wait to escort you at 7:00 pm into the romantic dining room (which we will create inside the Lockwood Center gymnasium using our many talents with paper clips, duct tape, Christmas tree lights, and fishing poles). The effects will be something to remember. Soft ambient lighting, candlelight, and uplifting music will set the mood for the evening. At least one or more of our guys will even look "not half bad" in this lighting.
An Extravagant Meal
Our most conscientious and dedicated men have designed the menu. The highest quality ingredients are selected days in advance, and tenderly blended with your taste buds (and dentures) in mind. Nothing about it will be "thrown together".
These experienced and highly skilled cooks will have spent hours in the kitchen getting the food ready, including a salad, a main course, and a delicious dessert. As an added bonus you can forget about calories. As the pastor has said many time: "If you eat it at church, it has no long lasting or detrimental effects". (This may not be true – the jury is still out – but please do come and enjoy yourself anyway.) 🙂
At Your Service
Aren't you tired of buying the food, washing the dishes, cooking the meals, and cleaning up afterwards, barely in time to bathe the kids, brush their teeth, spank 'em and put 'em to bed? Does it ever seem that you are the one "lifting the load alone"? Come to our Ladies' Appreciation Night and let us do the work for a change. You won't have to lift a finger – except to summon your waiter for your every whim. Would you like sweet tea or unsweetened? Ranch dressing or no dressing? Pass the salt? More ice for your drink? Refill your coffee? Sit back and let us do the fetching and serving. You certainly deserve it!
Entertainment par Excellence
After dinner, the men will treat you to some creative, uplifting entertainment. Several of the men have formed a band so they can soothe you with beautiful music. They have been working for quite some time so you won't be disappointed. Since we don't officially dance in church, we'll just call this "creative movement". 🙂 Your spirit will be invigorated by the intricate coordination of our style and machismo.
A Long Tradition
We have been celebrating this evening together, honoring Grace Street Ladies since the beginning of this millenium. Each time we have ended with a reading and recitation of 1 Corinthians 13 – the love chapter – and concluding with a challenge to the men to keep showing their appreciation all year long – not merely the one night.

If you cannot sign up beforehand, come anyway! No worries! We will have plenty of food for everyone. If you need child care, please let us know so we can have plenty of people to interact with them.
