Grace Street Fellowship

On our way!

Grace Street has always been a church in motion, “on our way” to what God has in store for us.  We don’t want to be static in our spiritual lives, but constantly growing into the people God wants us to be.  We feel that way about our church too! For the past 26 years, we’ve always been a church that is “on our way.”

By God’s Grace, and the sensitive faithfulness of a beautiful church family, Grace Street Fellowship opened the campus for public worship on Sunday, June 7th.  The church was well-prepared, professionally sanitized, and set-up for social distancing. Our family was intent on giving grace all around, knowing that some didn’t need to, or just couldn’t quite come back yet. It is so beautiful to watch the support everyone is giving to each other.  On our first Sunday, 90 people attended worship.  On the second Sunday, 110 were in attendance.

This past Sunday, June 14th, the church gathered for Sunday schools again. Each class was about 25 percent of pre-pandemic attendance, but it was a good start.

In the meantime, our church family continues to be the beautiful, caring family we’ve always been. In this past week alone, church members delivered 320 boxes of farm-fresh produce to church families, and to many neighborhoods around the church.  Grace Street has always been an “inside-out” congregation, and the pandemic hasn’t changed this.

Other activities and services will ramp up as the next weeks go by.  Our youth begin this Friday night with a movie night.

We’re grateful to God that we are still a church that is “on our way.”  Won’t you join us?
