Series – It’s NOT Complicated
John 3:14-21
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.
Series – Come to the Cross
The atonement is the work Christ did in his life and death to earn our salvation. The love and the justice of God were the ultimate cause of the atonement. It wasn’t necessary for God to save any of us, but once God, out of His deep love, decided to save some humans, then, according to scripture, only the death of His Son would suffice. So then the scripture was fulfilled, “The LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6); and “He bore the sin of many. (Isaiah 53:12 and became “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29).
MAY is FAMILY Focus Month
God has blessed us so much that we have become highly motivated to develop ourselves and our young into mature men and women. We believe that with His help we can achieve this vision. We want to become loyal effective members of God’s Kingdom. We are going to encourage and strengthen each other. And one of our foundational assumptions is that we face relentless opposition, so much that we are not immune to being tempted to give up. Nevertheless we want to be effective in life, so when we fall down, we are going to get back up and get back to the business of living up to God’s high calling.
