Our previous minister with youth, Nicole Adams, recently moved to Wayland Baptist University, following God’s call to return to her Alma Mater after 15 months here.
Jason is married to Ashley, and they have a beautiful new-born son, Davis. Jason (23) shared his testimony with the church leadership team and various other church families this past Sunday. Jason is from Oklahoma, where he graduated from college and taught high school chemistry. He enjoyed helping students with the challenge of chemistry, but his real passion was for students.
Ashley is from Arlington, but made it to and graduated from the same University in Oklahoma where she met and married Jason. Ashley served the Lord as an elementary school teacher in Oklahoma, and she currently teaches at Fielder Church in their week day education program. Just a few weeks ago, the Lord brought young Davis into their home.
Last Fall, the Lord led the couple to Mission Arlington® where Jason began working on Arlington’s north side leading youth and children’s Bible studies with the Mission’s “North Side team.” Dr. Burgin, our pastor, had already worked with Jason on several occasions and could see the Lord’s hand on his life. Many of our church members had also met Jason too, and with the Lord’s permission the church began the process of seeing if Jason might be the one God would use to step into this position. After much prayer by everyone involved, we began the process of talking together about this possibility. Jason met with Nicole, with parents of youth, and with our youth too. Jason and Ashley expressed their excitement to “live life” with Grace Street and especially the youth. We are blessed to be a part of this sweet families life and look forward to walking this journey with them.
Welcome to Grace Street Jason, Ashley, and Davis. We are excited that God has brought you our way, and we look forward to serving our Lord with you in this beautiful place called Grace.
After 14 months of ministry with us, the Lord called Nicole, to serve at Wayland Baptist University, her alma mater.
